This year, we journeyed beyond the ordinary. We took a deep breath, working on ourselves through the magic of sound healing. Our foodie edition made us party like rock stars. We witnessed world-class athletes in some of the biggest tourneys in the world. And as a team, we celebrated new achievements and started new adventures.
Through the pages of Destino Magazine, we’ve shared these adventures with you, celebrating the best of Cabo, the 365 days of the year. Today, we say thank you for being there with us and allowing us to make your trip to Cabo even more special. See you in 2024!
The Best of Wellness
We started the year getting in tune with ourselves. Paola Calderon, certified sound healing therapist and friend of Destino, conducted a group session on the incredible Corazon Cabo’s rooftop 360. All the team plus special guests enjoyed a magic experience where Paola helped us to start the year in perfect syntony with everything around us.
The Best Food
We partied like rockstars in one of the most iconic restaurants in Cabo San Lucas. Cabo Wabo opened its doors to Destino and helped us host an unveiling unlike any other. Sammy Hagar joined Destino’s editor-in-chief, Dana Gimenez, on this iconic stage to unveil together our Foodie Edition 2023! Dedicated to the history of Cabo Wabo and the man behind the dream, Jorge Viaña.
The Best Concerts
This year Cabo welcomed world-class artists in spectacular stages. One of our favorite moments came earlier this April when Natasha Bedingfield gave a spectacular concert at the Hilton Vacation Club in Cabo Azul. Her hit songs and incredible covers left everyone thrilled.
The Best Achievements
This year saw our editor-in-chief, Dana Gimenez, reach a new goal in her career, being named an Official Partner at Destino Magazine. We celebrated as a team and got together at La Casona Restaurant in Villa La Estancia where we enjoyed a dinner worth the occasion.
The Best of Summer
Summer in Cabo is never short of adventures. Our summer edition took you to the scenic route, sharing with you how it is to grow up in the long Cabo summers.
July was also a showcase of world-class athletes. Los Cabos Tennis Open captured everyone’s attention. And the Destino team was there on the tennis court, bringing you the best of this incredible competition.
The Best Openings
We embarked on new adventures. Destino Magazine hosted a party in the heart of San José del Cabo to celebrate the opening of our brand-new office! Right in the heart of the art district. During the event we were accompanied by all of Destino’s old friends… and some new faces!
Our new friends at EXA FM made a special appearance since we also celebrated the beginning of an incredible collaboration. Don’t forget to tune in to EXA every Thursday at noon for Baja 101! Your ultimate guide for everything Baja.
The Best of Golf
Our usual number of editions in a year wasn’t enough to cover everything 2023 threw at us, so we had to improvise. This year we published our first Destino Special Edition! On its pages, we took a deep dive into the Golf scene in Cabo, as the destination captured the eyes of the world hosting the World Wide Technology Championship 2023! Official PGA TOUR event. Some of the best golfers on the planet faced each other at Diamante’s El Cardonal, a spectacular Golf course designed by none other than Tiger Woods!
The Best Dinners
We said goodbye to the year surrounded by delicious food. First, we were invited to Kahal, at Rancho Pescadero, where we enjoyed an unforgettable experience at the hand of GastroVino Food Festival.
And last but not least, we celebrated as a family, in our very own traditional Mexican Posada. The night was full of music and entertainment as we gave gifts to each other and even got to hit a piñata!
But the best of 2023 would be complete without talking about you, the reader. Thank you for being there for every edition. For taking us with you on your adventures. And for helping us appreciate all the incredible things Cabo has to offer. From the whole Destino Team, we wish you a happy 2024. See you next year!
