The 3rd Edition of the Culinary Awards Los Cabos award ceremony was held last Wednesday, October 19th. Once again, organized by PR Solutions and Tendencia to honor the best culinary offerings in our destination.
An extensive evaluation process of the 139 restaurants entered began in April of this year to determine the winners in the 29 categories. These winners were announced: 11 determined by a jury made up of 70 local experts, and 18 as the result of online voting “mystery shopper”, and a special award given to Carmen Consuelo Fiol Montaño, better known as Doña Pame. chosen by the organizing committee for Culinary Achievement.
In this year’s edition, a total of 28,512 votes were cast by the public on the Culinary Awards App which tripled the amount in 2019. The application was launched this year, with a total of 7,228 users.
Representatives of the 64 restaurants that were nominated attended this magnificent event. The 3rd award gala ceremony, was held at The Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences, located at Hacienda Encantada. The award gala was hosted by Claudia Velo and Maria Elena Vital and also in attendance were sponsors, local media, and special invited guests.
The goal of this event is not only to promote local business, but also to shed a light on the groundbreaking culinary proposals our destination is developing. Restaurateurs from every corner of Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, Todos Santos and Pescadero gathered to celebrate each other. Claudia Velo and María Elena Vital conducted the lovely evening as one by one the winners stepped on stage to collect their award.
After a two year long break, the Culinary Awards are back stronger than ever. The restaurant industry was hit especially hard during the pandemic and this event is only evidence of the incredible resilience this sector has had in these challenging times.
