Everything you need to know about the 3rd edition of the Culinary Awards

The 3rd edition of Culinary Awards Los Cabos has announced the nominated restaurants in the 29 categories of the 2022.

  • 139 restaurants participated in the third edition of the Culinary Awards.
  • 11 categories were nominated based on the evaluation made by the 70-member jury.
  • 18 categories were nominated by the public through online voting.
  • 28,512 votes were cast by the public on the Culinary Awards App which tripled the amount in 2019. 
  • 7,228 users voted online through the Culinary Awards app for their favourite restaurants.
  • 67 of the registered restaurants were nominated at least once.
  • 1965 was the year in which Carmen Consuelo Fiol Montaño, better known as Doña Pame, began a gastronomic legacy, solidifying herself over time as a reference in the conservation of Sothern’s Baja recipes. For this reason, the organizing committee of the Culinary Awards chose to award Casa Doña Pame for Culinary Achievement.
  • The awards gala will be held on October 19th at the Vista Encantada hotel, located in Hacienda Encantada.

Los Cabos, BCS. – On Wednesday, October 5, the nominations for the third edition of the Culinary Awards Los Cabos were announced. Representatives of the 139 registered restaurants, sponsors, the media and special guests gathered at the terrace garden of the Esperanza Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection.

The event was hosted by Amparo García. To begin, the general director of the Los Cabo’s Tourism Trust (FITURCA), Rodrigo Esponda, emphasized their commitment to support and promote gastronomy in our area.  The goal is to offer tourists and residents the best in culinary experiences. He also mentioned the 13% of travelers have indicated that the local gastronomy is the main reason for visiting Los Cabo’s.

F Crowe México, for the third consecutive year, joins the project as the entity responsible for ensuring the transparency and legality in the evaluation process and its results. Iván Bautista, partner of the company, delivered the envelopes with the results, which were simultaneously revealed to all attendees and online followers through the various transmissions of the media in attendance.

To conclude the nominations event, Rafael García Ceseña, director of Economic Development of H. XIV of the Los Cabos City Council, was invited to be spokesman for regional gastronomy. He made a special mention to the municipal tourism director, Donna Jeffries, for being the main link between the private initiative and the government and always promoting the rural area and the destination. :
