1, 8, 15, 22, 29 – Taco Tuesdays with Chef JJ

Casa Calavera’s very own Chef JJ will present a special taco creation every Tuesday through the end of October! A percentage of all Taco Tuesday’s proceeds from Chef JJ’s taco, as well as the all-you-can-eat taco special, will go to charity. Live music will start every Tuesday at 7pm. 2 – Summer Movie Nights at the Farm

Flora Farms hosted a series of kid friendly movie nights every Wednesday throughout the summer. The last date of the series will take place on October 2, with Jurassic Park playing from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. Complimentary popcorn, water and lemonade are provided free of charge, and pizzas, salads, cotton candy and raspados (shaved ice) will be available for purchase. 3 – El Ranchito Fundraiser Sponsored by Tito’s

On Thursday, October 3, Tito’s Vodka and Sancho’s will host a fundraiser benefiting El Ranchito Rescue. There will be a raffle and auction, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to El Ranchito. Enjoy 2×1 Tito’s Vodka cocktails and foot long hot dogs (with $1 from every dog also going directly to the rescue). Bring your pups and hang out on Sancho’s dog friendly patio. 6 – Trail Runners Teeven Zacatitos 3k, 5k, 10k & 21k Race

Join Somos Runners MX San José on Sunday, October 6, for a race for all levels. The race starts and finishes at El Encanto de la Laguna in San José del Cabo. The cost is $350 MXN for the kid friendly 3k, $450 MXN for the 5k, $650 MXN for the 10k, and $750 MXN for the 21k race. Find more information at or register at

9, 11, 13 – Sammy Hagar’s 72nd Birthday Bash at Cabo Wabo Cantina

Every year Sammy Hagar returns to Cabo Wabo Cantina to celebrate his birthday along with friends, Cabo locals, and fans during this always sold out event. Sammy is an American rock vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and musician who catapulted to fame as a member of Van Halen in the 80’s and 90’s. Those hoping to score tickets must enter into a random drawing many months in advance for the chance to win access to the highly coveted tickets. Learn more at

13-17 – Los Cabos Billfish Tournament

The Los Cabos Billfish Tournament consists of a $5,000 base entry for each 6-person team, daily jackpots for the largest tuna, wahoo and dorado, and daily billfish release jackpots. Optional marlin only jackpots are also available to teams that paid the base entry. The tournament starts off with kickoff party and final registration at Playa Grande Resort on October 13. Fishing days are October 14-16, with a gala awards banquet dinner on the 17th.

17-20 – Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore

The Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore tournament awards cash, prizes, and trophies to the top three teams that accumulate the most billfish release points along with daily cash jackpots. Registration, distribution of team bags and kick-off cocktail party at Puerto Paraiso Mall will be held on October 17. Fishing days are October 18 and 19, with an awards celebration at Maria Corona restaurant on October 20.

18-19 – Rock & Brews Beer Fest 2019

Live the experience that brings together style, music and the most important craft beer brands of the moment at Rock & Brews Beer Fest 2019 on October 18 and 19 in Plaza del Pescador in San José del Cabo. 19-26 – Restaurant Week, San José del Cabo

Join this culinary celebration dedicated to highlighting the extensive gastronomy of the region. From October 19-26, during San José del Cabo Restaurant Week, each participating restaurant will offer a 3-course menu for only $800 MXN. At least 40 restaurants have confirmed their participation. 22-26 – Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament

Bisbee’s Black & Blue Tournaments have been taking place in the Los Cabos region of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico for more than 30 years and is dubbed the richest marlin tournament in the world thanks to its multi-million-dollar payouts. Registration and Captain’s meeting takes place on the 22nd, with fishing days on the 23rd-25th. The tournament concludes with an awards ceremony at A.P.I. Cruise Ship Pier on October 26 with evening entertainment including Cabo Max’s Benefit concert hosted by Bisbee’s Fish & Wildlife Conservation Fund, and a concert, raffle and silent auction benefiting the Green Scholarship Program and the BF&WCF Revolutionary RFID Tagging Program.

25 – OMNIA Army Feel Good Fridays

Enjoy an all new “Feel Good Fridays” event as we head into the high season at OMNIA Los Cabos day club! On Friday, October 25, join OMNIA for an army themed day of high energy dance music, refreshing cocktails and a whole lot of fun! Lounge on one of OMNIA’s plush daybeds, enjoy delicious food from the adjoining Casa Calavera restaurant, or take a dip in their crystal-clear pool…it will be a day you won’t forget! 25-27 – Los Cabos Tattoo Fest

Los Cabos Tattoo Fest features tattoos by more than 80 talented professional artists and international guests along with piercings, live music, DJs, shows, barber, sale of equipment and material for tattooing, art, fashion, seminars, raffles, awards, and surprises. 26 – Bark and Boos (Booze) Cruise benefiting LCHS

Cabo Mar and Pet Air Lift Baja Mexico will host the Bark and Boos (Booze) Cruise aboard the fabulous Cabo Mar party boat on Saturday, October 26 leaving at 4:30pm. The 2.5-hour costume (optional) cruise will include a full dinner celebrating Halloween and Day of the Dead with all proceeds going to the Los Cabos Humane Society. Tickets are $60 USD per person or $70 USD on the day of cruise. The event is expected to sell out with only 150 spaces available, so get your tickets early!

26 – 7th Annual Tuna Shoot Out

The 7th Annual Van Wormer Resort Tuna Shoot Out takes place on Saturday, October 26. The largest tuna caught on tournament day will win approximately $35,000. This is a one-day tournament, and anyone can win! There will be over $100,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs including great raffle prizes, return trips including fishing, and much more. Entry fee is only $500 per team and includes dinner at the awards ceremony. 

26 – Sancho’s 3 Year Anniversary Fiesta

Join Sancho’s bar for their 3 Year Anniversary Fiesta! The event will include door prizes, giveaways, a Cajun shrimp boil, special edition swag, drink and shot specials and more! 27 – Firehill Trail Race Koral Canyon

The best trail race series in Baja California Sur returns for its final of four races in 2019. The Koral Canyon race will take place on October 27, starting and finishing at the Blue Lane Swimming Academy in San José del Cabo at 7am. 27 – Maratón Baja Sur

Maratón Baja Sur encourages the growing culture of running in the state of Baja California Sur with a challenging marathon to be held in the city of La Paz on Sunday, October 27, from 6am-noon. Runners can choose scenic routes of 42.195k, 30k, 15k or 7k. The race consists of 100 total runners (50 women and 50 men), who will compete with runners of their same age to win 1st prize!

30-Nov 2 – Songwriters in Paradise (SIP CABO)

The 3rd Annual Songwriters in Paradise (also known as SIP CABO) will take place at the beautiful Bahia Hotel, SUR Beach House, & Bar Esquina over Halloween weekend on October 30th through November 2nd. As always, SIP CABO will include some of the most accomplished and talented songwriters in the world. Guests will enjoy nightly shows by big name songwriters and recording artists. 31 – Halloween

Halloween is celebrated by children and adults all over Cabo on October 31, but you might also find some costume parties on the weekend leading up to Halloween on Saturday, October 26. On Halloween night, Mexican children run from business to business in downtown Cabo excitedly searching for candy. Even though Halloween tends to get overshadowed by Day of the Dead celebrations, most locals still like dressing up and enjoying the spooky themed events and specials at almost every bar, restaurant and night club around town!
