According to the annual report released by IQAir, a renowned source of global air quality information and solutions provider, the city of San José del Cabo, in Los Cabos has some of the cleanest air in the country. The report ranked San josé del Cabo as the fourth city in Mexico with the cleanest air in 2022. Other cities on the state have appeared in this ranking before, like the City of La Paz who occupied the same spot back in 2020.

IQAir is a Swiss-based air quality information and solutions provider, their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility has earned them numerous awards recognition.

This ranking is based on the concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in the air. PM2.5 refers to tiny particles in the air that are less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter and can be harmful to human health when inhaled. The lower the concentration of PM2.5 in the air, the cleaner the air quality.
