Mother’s Day in Mexico falls on May 10th, and more families are marking it at a restaurant table than ever before. OpenTable put together a national list of the best places to celebrate across the country. Los Cabos landed eight spots. The selection favors open-air settings, flexible spaces for larger groups, and menus built for long, social meals. Three restaurants are in San Jose del Cabo, five in Cabo San Lucas. All take reservations, and most will fill up by the weekend.

Acre Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

Set a 10-minute drive outside the town center, Acre operates in a brutalist garden setting, with tables distributed across multiple areas. The layout allows for larger groups without concentrating the experience into a single dining space, which aligns with how Mother’s Day is most comfortably observed.

Flora Farms

Flora Farms is built for a full afternoon or morning. The farm setting gives families room to breathe: kids can run the lawn or feed the fish in the pond while the adults linger over shared dishes. It serves breakfast, too, making it a natural pick for families who want to start the day there.

La Lupita

La Lupita offers a more casual alternative in the city’s historic center. Known for its taco-focused menu and lively atmosphere, it accommodates groups seeking a less formal setting while keeping the celebration centered on a shared meal. They also have a location in downtown Cabo San Lucas.

Casa Martin

Casa Martin presents a more traditional restaurant format, centered on Mexican cuisine. Its enclosed courtyard and structured seating create a defined environment, typically suited for mid-sized family gatherings.

Cocina del Mar

Located within Esperanza Resort, Cocina del Mar is built around terraced dining facing the ocean. Reservations tend to concentrate around sunset, with the setting shaping the timing and flow of the meal. The ocean views alone justify the visit.

Comal Restaurant & Bar

At Chileno Bay Resort, Comal features a contemporary design with an open layout and adaptable seating. The restaurant accommodates both smaller tables and larger reservations, responding to the varied group sizes typical of the holiday.

Don Manuel’s

Within Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, Don Manuel’s operates with a more formal structure. The focus remains on regional Mexican cuisine, with a setting that prioritizes service and presentation.

YAYA

Also located at Chileno Bay, YAYA introduces a Mediterranean perspective to the list. Its contemporary layout and menu provide an alternative within the same resort, with seating arrangements that accommodate both smaller and larger groups.
