This November, Los Cabos will once again welcome some of the world’s best golfers as the World Wide Technology Championship returns to El Cardonal Golf Course at Diamante, the Tiger Woods and TGR Design creation that has become the event’s home since 2023. From November 6 to 9, 120 PGA TOUR players will compete over 72 holes in the FedExCup season, bringing top-level golf to Baja California Sur for the tournament’s third consecutive year in the region and its 19th overall.
Beyond the fairways, the WWT Championship has become a major driver of community impact and economic growth. Over its history, the tournament has donated 3.8 million USD to charitable causes, with its recent editions channeling support to local associations in Los Cabos. The annual economic boost is significant, with nearly 25 million USD in direct impact over the region, including 600 volunteers and more than 700 staff, suppliers, and production crews. In Los Cabos alone, 14 civil associations have benefited directly, reinforcing the event’s commitment to sustainable development.
“We are extremely excited and enthusiastic as the event approaches,” said Tournament Director Joe Mazzeo. “The World Wide Technology Championship is much more than a golf tournament; it is a week of celebrations and impact. We are proud to contribute to the sustainable growth of the region, showing that sport and social responsibility can go hand in hand to transform communities.”
Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, added: “This championship not only consolidates Los Cabos as a global golf reference, but also reaffirms our commitment to sustainable tourism and responsible economic development. We are proud to be the golf mecca of Latin America, thanks to world-class courses that attract visitors from all over the world. Beyond sport, golf generates significant economic benefits for our local community and promotes essential values such as environmental care and community collaboration. Hosting an event of this magnitude is clear proof of our joint effort for inclusive and sustainable growth.”
Spectators in 2025 can expect more than elite competition. New experiences include VIP hospitality areas, a food and art festival, expanded Pro-Ams, live music, wellness activities, family-friendly programming, and sponsor activations. All four rounds will be broadcast worldwide via the PGA TOUR network, with coverage in over 220 countries and territories, including Golf Channel in the United States and Latin America.
